Winners of an all in one waterproof from Rain-shine
Congratulations to Janine Moffat (pictured above with her partner) who won a Rain-shine all in one waterproof by Regatta in the raffle at the Annual West Of Scotland Dreamflight Race Night in April.

The event was organised by Hamilton nurse Laura Swift who has been involved with Dreamflight since 2007.
Dreamflight is a registered UK charity that changes young lives through taking seriously ill and disabled children, without their parents, on the holiday of a lifetime to Orlando, Florida. It has operated every year since 1987, believing that fun and joy are just as important as medical research and equipment – especially for children who perhaps can’t wait long enough for the breakthrough they need or whose illnesses and treatment have brought pain, distress and disruption to their lives.

Once a year Dreamflight takes 32 children from Scotland on the ten day trip to the wonderful theme parks of Orlando, Florida. In total there are 192 seriously ill and disabled children from Britain. Although the charity receive many discounts it still costs £3,500 to take just ONE child on this trip of a life time.
Rain-shine were privileged to be asked to sponsor a race at this event – so much so we were more than happy to offer the above as a raffle prize too.  With the help of the organizers, the general public and other sponsors such as Morrisons, Tunnocks, Lightbodys, Peter Vardy Motors, Knockhill Racing circuit, Best Western Strathaven hotel and many more they were able to raise a total of £2,400 on the night.

There are many ways to get involved with Dreamflight - from donating via their website (http://www.dreamflight.org) to becoming involved in their fundraising.
